After fourteen months of grueling efforts to develop a totally indigenous technology without any technical foreign collaboration, “SPANGLE” was born in May 1999.

The key promoter of Spangle Alloys Pvt. Ltd., (SAPL), Rajesh Dagli, (RD), a metallurgist from I.I.T. Bombay, started his career in 1974 as a co-founder and CEO of Jewel Metallochem Laboratory (JML) - a metallurgical test house of a very high repute. Under his leadership, JML's worth grew to nearly a thousand fold increase in 5 years period; not only that, JML carved its place among the top three laboratories in the Western India. However, the spirit of entrepreneurship didn't stop here. Two more ventures were started by RD; one was of a hallmarking laboratory for gold jewellery, and the other of manufacturing alloys for gold and silver jewellery. Needless to say, in a very short time, both the ventures proved a great success. The hall marking activities are being carried out in the name of Leo Analytics Lab; and the alloys manufacturing activities in the name of Spangle Alloys Pvt. Ltd.
